Also called nectar of the Marsden Valley, renown for it’s gem stone quality. One of the most highly prized nephrites in the jade field in New Zealand and the Chinese market – the Chinese market being the biggest jade buyers in the world.

This exemplary stone is enjoyed for its opaque, translucent and transparency thus giving its name infinity. This piece is a representation of what would be a young girls Repi for flax cutting. The repurpose of a once used greenstone adze now used as a knife to cut flax. Greenstone being a rare commodity would most likely be repurposed certainly in the case of a fractured adze.
