Description

Kahurangi Nephrite which is emerald green with very fine specks of natural gold. Carved into a contempory variation of the Maori Toki or stone adze, this type of jade has a very transparent and deep pool-like affect. Kahurangi Nephrite is found in the Marsden Valley.  The large Toki has a black binding which can be worn with many styles and colours. The weight of the Toki although a larger piece is surprisingly light and would feel great next to the skin.
