This Nephrite is always very highly prized by Maori for adzes used in whakairo rakau (woodcarving) due to it’s flawlessness, strength and hardness. It can take a keen edge and be worked into very fine and precise chisels and gauges. A must to achieve the intricate details expected. Adzes symbolizes strength and determination for completion.
